The Warm Outreach Sequence
Cold email fails because the recipient does not know you. This three-touch sequence uses two light LinkedIn interactions before the email lands, so your name feels familiar when they open their inbox the next day.
The sequence
1. Profile visit
Open the lead's LinkedIn profile and let it load. Do not send a connection request yet. Simply appearing in their Who viewed your profile notification is the first micro-touch. It costs nothing and leaves no ask behind.
2. Engage with their comment
The next day, go back to the post they commented on and react to their comment, or reply to it. Keep the reply short and human — agreement plus one line. In LeadPrimer, click Suggest a comment on any prospect card to get a relevant reply drafted for you.
Example: "Spot on. It's not the wand, it's the wizard. 🪄"
This second touch puts your name next to something you wrote. They have now seen you twice before any email arrives.
3. Email the next day
LeadPrimer has already qualified the lead against your ICP, verified their email, and written an opener that references the post they engaged with. Approve the prospect and it queues for the next business day. Because they have seen your profile and your comment, the email is not cold — it is a continuation of a conversation that already started.
Why it works
- Familiarity. They have seen your name twice before the email arrives.
- Context. The email references the post they commented on, not a generic pitch.
- Pacing. One touch per day feels human, not automated.
Where LeadPrimer fits in
- Watchlists surface the posts your buyers comment on.
- Prospects shows you each commenter, their profile, and the comment they left.
- Suggest a comment drafts a short, relevant reply you can paste into LinkedIn.
- Queue schedules the email for the next business day with human pacing.
- Resend delivers it from your own verified address.
The highest-leverage source: Comment for Access posts
Some LinkedIn posts ask readers to comment a keyword like "GUIDE", "YES", or "ACCESS" to unlock a resource. Everyone who comments that keyword is raising their hand for the post author's offer — and often for yours too.
LeadPrimer can auto-detect these posts, surface the keyword commenters as prospects, and use a custom opener template that references the post they already engaged with. That makes them perfect candidates for the warm sequence: they have already publicly declared interest in a solution like yours.
See Comment for Access Posts for how the detection and opener template work.
Best practices
- Keep comments short and genuine. Agreement + one line is enough.
- Do not pitch in the comment. Save the ask for the email.
- Space touches by roughly 24 hours.
- Only use this sequence for leads who clearly fit your ICP and left a real comment.
- Reply in the same thread if they respond to your comment before the email sends.
The profile visit and comment reply are manual steps you do on LinkedIn. LeadPrimer does not automate those — it finds the leads, writes the comment and email copy, and handles the send.
